Is it gay to paint your nails
Why Do Gay Men Coat Their Nails
[quote] Plenty of other men as of late have been seen wearing nail polish, including Johnny Depp, Taye Diggs, Seal, Jared Leto, Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, Elden Henson of The Appetite Games, Darren Criss, Harry Styles and more.
[quote] History is actually repeating itself: Men have been wearing nail polish since 3,200 B.C. Following an excavation of royal tombs at Ur of the Chaldees in southern Babylonia, it was reportedly discovered that most men during that era wore nail polish, with different colors signifying different classes. Made primarily with kohl, the darker the color, the higher the class of the man, from warriors to leaders. Lighter colors were reserved for lower class men. In fact, prior to battle, warriors would take hours to primp and paint their nails just so.
[quote] In 3,000 B.C., it's said that in China, nail varnish — which was made from a mixture of egg whites, beeswax and gelatin — was reserved for people in the higher classes regardless of gender. In Egypt, people of all classes were encouraged to paint their nails, again with hue denoting status. Members of the upper classes, including icons like Nefertiti and Cleopatra, ten
Forthepast month, I’ve wandered out into the world with a set of brightly painted fingernails. From the office to the gym, I’ve sported red nails, green nails, and even Halloween-inspired French tips to store it seasonally relevant. Now it’s crucial to know that I never intended for my nails to be political or gendered. My reason for painting them stemmed from a need to curb nail biting, and not from a desire to embark on some exercise on internalized misogyny and homophobia. But as I have discovered over the past limited weeks, operating outside of gender norms-intentionally or unintentionally ― is always political.
At first, I was nervous about what strangers would think of my nails. I’m incredibly self-conscious, and I’ve always refrained from doing anything that would garner negative attention. So in the beginning I hid my nails whenever I passed by someone whom I thought would judge them, but to my surprise, more people than not complimented them. Coworkers appreciated them and told me how much they looked forward to every new dye. People on the street smiled at me upon seeing them, and friends didn’t bat an eye at my decision. Of course I received the odd stare or off-

Hm, how long until the judgy, sullen eldergays go away? It's like they're on their own little perverse (could it be more, really though?) version of RPDR except it's just them screeching:
Men can NEVER wear nail polish. It ALWAYS looks bad!
Women MUST cut their drawn-out hair off at age fifty. Long hair on old women ALWAYS looks bad!
ALL men Dependency to do (insert tedious grooming practice)! If they DON'T, they are DISGUSTING!
It's like some fuckin Eldergay Ten Commandments.
For how the LGBTQ2S (yes we WERE and ARE all of those things around the WORLD) people used to be in history.... some of the most bold avant garde, wild, talented artistic people in human history were us, and some have opined that in some civilizations we were held high because of the way we were spiritually, metacognitively, how we brought incredible visions in art, story telling, song. Psychic abilities, shamanism.
Now we are like hard as rocks banging around judging women's bodies and men's style choices worse than straight people do to ea
straight men painting their nails
i think it's cool! everyone should be able to express themselves however they want. painting my nails personally calms me down, and most people in my existence would be nice with straight men doing it (maybe not my parents though) but overall, as long as you're having joy and not hurting anyone, who cares? the only thing that worries me is that a lot of vertical men wont understand to learn proper nail care / technique for when they paint their nails, and it's very beneficial! not only do your nails look excellent, there will be less chipping, it'll stay longer and be more amusing to look at throughout the night. (youtube is a great place to start learning about this for anyone thinking about it; i recommend simplynailogical) . have enjoyable with it! no ones opinion has ever changed by seeing the alike thing over and over; the more straight men who do it, the less stigma :) ♡
